What are the costs associated with Getaround Connect?

Monthly subscription to Getaround Connect

• The Getaround Connect subscription costs 25€ per month.
• This amount will be debited from your bank account using the credit card information you provided when you registered your car.
• The first monthly payment will be charged on the day the device is installed, prorated for the remaining days in the month.
• Starting with the second monthly payment, billing will occur on the first day of each month for the upcoming month.
• If you uninstall the device, you will receive a refund prorated for the remaining days in the month.

Getaround Connect device installation fee

A fee may be charged for installing the Getaround Connect box in your car, depending on its location. This fee must be paid by credit card when you register your car, before the Getaround Connect box is installed. To find out if your car is currently in a free or paid zone (and to find out the installation price at any given time), you will need to go through the car registration process.

Free zones: In these high-demand areas, Getaround covers 100% of the installation, removal, and maintenance costs. These areas typically have consistent demand throughout the year, ensuring a profitable return for both owners and Getaround. Common locations include urban centers, tourist destinations, train stations, and airports.

Paid areas: In these areas, Getaround Connect device installations are possible, but we ask owners to contribute to the installation costs, while Getaround covers uninstallation and maintenance. The exact price of installation varies by location and may change based on demand levels.

In addition, if you have confirmed your installation or uninstallation appointment with our technician but do not show up, we will be forced to charge you the cost of the operation, which is 120€ or 60€/1500 kr for maintenance.

Deposit for the Getaround Connect box

• A deposit of 120€ will be required for each new car equipped with the Getaround Connect box, with a maximum of 10 deposits in France, or 5 in Belgium, Spain, Germany, Austria or Norway, held by Getaround for each owner. Once you have 10 cars in France, or 5 cars for Belgium, Spain, Germany, Austria or Norway, equipped with a Getaround Connect box, no further deposits will be required.
• This deposit covers Getaround in the event of non-payment by the owner of the fees associated with the Getaround Connect service.
• The deposit will be refunded approximately 15 days after the Connect box has been uninstalled, under the following conditions: - The number of deposits held by Getaround is greater than the number of your cars equipped with the Getaround Connect box. - You have no outstanding debt to Getaround related to the Getaround Connect service.
