They charged me 145€(double than I spent for the rent)extra because the battery died, they could just recharge it , but no, they changed wit my money, probably it was already old cause is impossible to kill a battery just parking 2 days (light and radio tuned off)
Hi Leonard. I’m sorry about your experience. I think it is important to highlight that the battery of the car died because when you parked the car the last day, you left the keys connected and the contact turned on. The battery had only one year and a half (I changed it in february 2025), so I dind’t have any need to change it; for me it has been a work to take the car to the garage to change it. However, as you left the keys connected for days, it complitily died. I send the videos to Getaround so you could see it. It is important to explain also that Getaround only gave me 100€, thta was exactly the amount of the new battery. The rest of the charge was for Getaround cost. I’m sorry once again about your experience but it was complitely neccesarry to change the battery after the incident.
